G. Ramiro Z has become world famous worldwide and is duly called the "Stallion of the Century.” Preferent Ramiro descends from the famous male linage combination Rainmond - Ramzes x - Rittersporn xx. The anglo arabian Ramzes represents one of the basic blood lines on which Holsteiner breeding has been founded. Ramzes gave a new dimension to sport horse breeding. Ramiro's dam is Valine, who acquired international fame as a show jumper by the name of Corrale under Lutz Gossing. She is a daughter of the reputable thoroughbred Cottage Son, who became famous through his son Consul. Ramiro's dam is frm linage 776 one of the most valuable Holsteiner female blood lines going back to Achill and Edelbert. Ramiro himself was tremendously successful at show jumping, with many wins in Nations Cups, Puissance and international Grand Prix competition. Ramiro influences nearly all European performance studbooks. It is impossible to underestimate Ramiro's influence on Dutch Warmblood breeding, or to catalog the success of his many outstanding offspring. To name just a handful of the hundreds, are Ratina Z, the gold medal show jumping winner at Barcelona and the World Cup winner in 1992, as well as the approved stallions Rinaldo, Rio Negro, Ronald, Zeoliet and Damiro, Armstrong, Bernstein, Dageraad, Elmero B and Horatio, among others. Ramiro died in 1995.
